It was saturday morning, 6:35 am, thunder clapped loud and close, raining heavily outside. We already had some plan for weekends but sudden change in weather forced us to get inside our bed again. We were just discussing that what to eat in breakfast and suddenly we choose this moment to go outside. Also weather conditions increases the urge of having parantha and kulhad tea. Well some one rightly said, "when there is a will there's a way" and we started to all time favourite Parantha point of Delhites, Murthal.

Murthal is a big village in Sonipat district of Haryana in northern India. It is located 13 km north of Sonipat,50 kilometers from the national capital New Delhi, and 202 km southwest of Chandigarh, the state capital.

Morning breeze, raindrops makes us feel so alive and fresh. It made us crazy like anything, personally we don't prefer rainy season but it was a beautiful day.

We reached murthal by 8:45 am approx, its 1 h 10 min drive from central Delhi, but it took us around 1 h 45 min due to weather conditions. Amrik Sukhdev is the favourite hotspot here. It is a multi-cuisine restaurant serves a variety of Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes but Tandoor Paratha is the signature dish here. Even though it was a rainy day, the food junction was still heavily crowded.

When you are in muthal, you don't know what menu is. Lots of varieties are available here in parathans but stuffed “aalo-pyaz parantha” is our favourite. Speciality of these Parantha are..they are made in tandoor, being served with pickle and delicious homemade "white Butter", that we people often miss in food these days! A large quantity of it is served with every Parantha...and, it's included in the Menu for free. In spite of being on diet we treat ourselves with extra butter.

happy cheat meal to us :) utterly butterly delicious

Sukhdev Dhaba -has been one of the gateway for Delhites since long, However, it has changed a lot from being a traditional Dhaba to a restaurant which serves Dhaba Food, now is a very big restaurant, having 2 very big AC halls and a big open area too to dine, opens 24x7. It is a nice place if someone wants to splurge on Paranthas with white butter, lassi or kulhad chai. Getting table is big task in itself otherwise, full marks to Cleanliness, management, quick service and Parking.

Well a nice food joint to visit with family and friends!
