Have you ever head about writing letters to GOD and receiving response in return?
Surprising but true !!
Yes ! Yes ! letters To GOD

Let's explored the unexplored in Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand is called Devbhoomi in the Rigveda. The most sacred area in the Himalaya lap is called the complete Karm land of the Mithis. Its a treasure house of exotic flora and fauna and land of GODS of-course! The fame of these temples extends not only to India but also abroad. One of these temples, is the famous temple of GOD of JUSTICE, Chitai Golu Devta. An Avtar (incarnation) of Lord Shiva in the form of Gaur Bhairav. Also known as Goljyu Devta. It’s a highly worshiped temple of Kumaon Region of Uttarakhand. Situated 10 km away from Almora. It is reputed to make every wish come true, provided the worshiper ask for it with a clear conscience. Golu Devta is worshiped as the God of the largest and quick justice in local culture.
In this way this is a unique temple anywhere in the world.
Interestingly, the temple has a collection of millions of wonderful "hour-bells" and "wish list" or "letters of devotees".

There is a belief that if you have a desire, a grievance, hang a petition in the temple and when wish is fulfilled or grievance redressed show gratefulness by hanging bell. Result is that there are so many bells and petitions, at every nook and corner. Not only this, many people ask for justice for themselves by writing on judicial stamp paper. Seeing the bells of the temple, you will get an idea that the wishes of any devotee sought here are never incomplete. It is also a belief that you shouldn't read other letters, but i confess i read few in curiosity.
Apart from what people say and believe, I myself felt the power of Golu devta. I made a wish and that came true.
Previously, animal sacrifice used to take place, which was banned in 2010.
You will also found dozens of monkey around the temple, they are only interested in your gracious "Pooja Plate" (worship plate with Prasad) to God.
How to reach : The temple is situated at 10kms/30 min from Almora. From Delhi the distance is 400 km. If you want to visit this temple then you will get a bus to Almora directly from Anand Vihar. Apart from this, you can also go to Haldwani from Delhi via train or volvo, from there you can find local taxi to Almora.
